Project Summary
The Baglung Town Water Supply and Sanitation Project have been conceptualized as a gravity flow water supply system with existing ground Stone Masonry tanks for distribution. The entire distribution network is to be supplied from ground reservoirs system. The project service area of Baglung Town Water and Sanitation Project are Baglung Municipality wards no. 1 (Ramrekha, Bhagbati road, Lampate), ward no.2 ( Rudrepipal, Maajkot, Kalika road, Mahendra path, Shreenagar tole, Marepipal, Shivadhara tole, Barrak road), ward no. 3 ( Kinara tole, Kampu tole, Naubise tole, Guthi, Naya Bazzar, Chipleti, Srijana road), ward no. 4 ( Bazzar area, Sundal BAzzar, Gauakot), ward no. 5 ( Sundanda to Gahate) and ward no.11 ( Upallachaur, Dungdunga, Ambot, Lower side of ADB road, Tulasa). The total length of distribution pipeline is 52.325 km and Transmission pipeline is 16.85 km respectively.
The scope of the Contract No. SSTWSSSP/ICB-06/Baglung_Baglung, includes Stream Intakes as source, rehabilitation of Ratmata and Sundanda reservoir tank, construction of treatment plants, supply, laying and jointing of DI/GI/HDPE pipes and fittings, construction of collection chamber, suspended cable crossing, GI pipe crossings, Valve chambers, valve boxes, Boundary wall, Laboratory Building, supply and installation of fire hydrant and House connections.
